Parineeta Mehra - Transformation Coach and Facilitator from Mumbai, India

Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?

That's an interesting question. A forced sabbatical made me consider taking a break from my 20 years working career. Whilst on the break, i had a chance to explore the world of Coaching & Facilitation and thus began my journey. Whilst thinking about it - I had a 'Aha moment' and then I was ready to go. Once my mind was made up, there was no looking back. We currently have few chosen clients but our vision is to have a least 35 paid clients by the year end/early next year.

Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.

We are in the space of Coaching and Facilitation that is all about discovering your true potential.from inside out by exploring the why and then coming to the what.We follow the Simon Sinek model (For more about our range of Coaching and Facilitation Product & Services, pl visit our website: We also offer bundled products and customised service packages as desired by the Client.). To succeed in this, one has to be brave, take risks, arrange and use internal & external resources, delve into different techniques and understand the mind which is different for all, and only then can one solve the coachee/business challenge and help deal with it successfully.

Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?

Like all niche businesses, we faced a challenge of getting clients on board as even though they had seen us work independently (in other companies when employed), it was not easy to get them to sign up initially. We have seen the shift in attitude and are now rolling. Any new venture takes time and the field we are in is very nascent in India. We are confident that we will do well. References are helping us expand our reach.
Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?

It takes some grit to hang on, especially when the going is tough. I owe our breakthrough to my family & friends who continued to support me to stay on the path chosen and not look back. In fact, one of my mentors said :" If you truly want to succeed, act like there's no back door for you and hang on be persistent and you will eventually succeed."  That's worked for me!! One more thing be open to change..We realized that in today's era e -presence is crucial to growth so we went ahead and invested (put our earnings back into the business expansion) in a website that is of quality and speaks volumes whilst following less is more when showcasing. Learn to what the discovery period taught us.

Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?

Post discovery, it was all about design and implementation that we got cracking with. We are still working and reinventing as we go along..all I can say.. I realized : Miles to go , before i sleep." One step at a time, as we continue to connect, collaborate and co exist as a universe with an aim to make a difference through our work.

Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?

Look Beyond and Parineeta Mehra should be a global name in  next five years. We wish to become a Pvt Ltd company with a venture capitalist looking to fund us so we can do all that we aspire for and have chalked out as our five year plan.  We want to positively impact as many people worldwide as possible beginning with India and build a diverse global community of individuals who are co-creators of their life and willing to partner up to spread the good work across boundaries. We are looking Beyond.

Q7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?

We have packages for them that they can use to jumpstart their business. Look Beyond is tied up with some senior Coaches and Facilitators as Consultants who partner up for guiding them when needed( We are in the process of updating our website with their profiles. In the meantime, we can share details offline).  Other than that , my personal advice is:

Goa-(am fond of acronyms)

I.e Have faith in your vision and have a strong will power/resolution to succeed.  Do not give up mid way/until you have tried out all possible options and explored them fully. it takes the 3 D's to succeed: i. Diagnosis/Discovery of why (this business) how. what (is yr differentiating quotient)ii.Determination of moving on as envisioned  iii. Discernment/Deduction of road ahead (understanding/incorporating course corrections, and then drawing up a plan).
