Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?

Well, I am a BE in Information Technology and have an industry experience on more than 11 years in fields of Finance and Operations. Also more than 5 years of experience in People Management, HR related activities. Although things were going good, I wanted something more interesting and gave me some flexibility. I hold a keen sense of observation in terms of dressing and grooming. I always had a passion to be presentable and look good. I believe good presentation of one’s self gives an edge over others both in personal and professional lives.

When I came across Image Management industry, there was no second thought to take my
passion as my career. It gave me a platform to use my creativity, skills along with a lot of flexibility. Now work is more fun for me.

Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.

It’s very important today to invest in yourself to enhance your Image and create positive impression.

At Image N Impressions, we assist people exercise greater control over the impressions they create and perceptions they influence through elements of image – dressing, grooming and body language, including etiquette. We fully understand the role of image in each and every person’s personal, professional and social lives. We assist you to project an image which is appropriate, authentic, attractive and affordable, consistently.

We deal with Individual solutions, corporate solutions, one on one coaching solutions as well as personal shopping services. We have a holistic approach with all aspects of Image branding.

Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?

Well immediately post my certification from India I had to shift to Malaysia. It was a major transition in my personal as well as professional life. I took it up as a challenge. I had researched about Image Management industry in Malaysia. Image consulting does exist but still is very naive. So it has its own set of challenges as well as opportunities. Initially I created opportunities by organising some workshops where I introduced the concept of Image Management and its importance in today’s world.

Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?

As I had mentioned I faced challenges in every aspect. There were no structured rules/ norms to be followed. So I kept on experimenting with new aspects and approach. I took challenges to create an opportunities. With every small opportunity I got a chance to learn more and more and thus my experience just got better.

Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?

I still feel the discovering period is on. There are lot of things which have to be explored and I am working towards it.

Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?

Apart from individual consulting, I want to focus more on Corporate for services like Image Management and Soft skills. I am also keen in exploring the option of Image Audit in corporate which will assist the employee as well as the employer to have their Image in sync with the company image.

Q7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in 

Always believe in yourself. Every individual is a power house, challenge and push you out of your comfort zone to reach out new horizons and follow your passion.
